29.Nov.2012Tails of Aesop 16 November 2012 - 27 January 2013 | Vector Gallery, Expressions Upper Hutt, NZ
Here is the latest offering! It is a a series of cast glass artworks based on the fables of Ancient Greek slave and storyteller, Aesop. Aesop is credited with having written a number of well-known fables such as the 'Goose who laid the Golden Egg' that communicate moral messages through the depiction of animals.
Can I say making the work was a mission! Some of the animals were quite tricky shapes to cast and most spent a solid week in the kiln. Super happy with the results tho!
Planing an actual opening with wine and cheese mid December 2012. Pics to post shortly.

Here is a link to an award I recently won for the work I do for The Learning Connexion art school here in Wellington. The official title was 'prison leadership award' award and it was presented at Parliament on the 20 July 2011 where I got suitably dressed up and even wore a dress! 'Big ups' to the other nominees who were just as deserving.

I thought the date that this website was born is newsworthy as it has being a long time coming.... I have decided to go 'live' even while the content is still being built...those that know me will understand that spending time in front of a computer is not really my scene so my apologies in advance for any glitches....
